Use your stash: altered gift bags

The gals at Creatively Green have created this tutorial on re-purposing gift bags!

1.Measure your bag and cut paper to cover front and back of bag.

2. Cut original handles off of bag.

3. Attach front and back handles with adhesive.

4. Use hole punch to punch holes where handles are and thread new ribbon through with a knot to secure.

5.Add decorative embellishments, sentiment, and tie tag on. Ta-da!!

They didn't cover the sides of the bags because it makes it difficult to fold.

No gift bag handy? How about a brown lunch sack? they can be altered to make adorable gift bags as well.

They covered the front and back sides of the bag and added the ribbon vertically to help give the bag weight to stand up.
